Jenna Jameson announced that Playboy had bought Club Jenna, Inc yesterday at around 1.25pm PST.

The story that Playboy was in the process of buying Jenna’s company had been around for many months but the news was still huge when it hit, maybe because everyone was thinking about getting ready for Erotica LA today and had not expected the news to be so close to the opening day.

The news is going to be great for fans of Jenna Jameson, now she’ll have Playboy’s backing and resources to bring you the best possible pics, videos and entertainment. She will continue to work with Justin Sterling, and both are expected to continue to give creative input to Club Jenna while it is under the Playboy banner.

The deal included not only Club Jenna, the website, but also all the other websites run by CJ Inc such as Club Brittany, Briana Banks and Club Tera.

In hindsight, the takeover was always going to happen. On Jenna’s Myspace page she had photos of herself at Hef’s birthday party. The links between Playboy and Jenna had been strong for some time.
